Diet for Metabolic Syndrome

Diet for Metabolic Syndrome

Metabolic syndrome is when you have 3 or more health problems that put you at higher risk for heart disease, diabetes, and stroke. It is also known as insulin resistance syndrome. If you have metabolic syndrome, it means you have 3 or more of these:

  • Abdominal obesity
  • Low HDL (good) cholesterol
  • High blood pressure
  • High triglyceride level
  • High fasting blood glucose

Each of these still counts as a risk factor, even if you are being treated for it.

Metabolic syndrome is more likely the older you are, it may become the main risk factor for cardiovascular disease even more than smoking. Higher rates of obesity may be related to higher rates of metabolic syndrome.

A Diet Plan

A Diet Plan for Metabolic Syndrome

Metabolic syndrome is most often treated by you. Your doctor will first recommend that you change your behavior by eating healthier and exercising more. By adopting some healthy habits, you may be able to eliminate your risk factors. A healthy balanced diet should include:

  • Fruits: Fruits are a good source of vitamins and minerals. They also have sugar, but those natural sugars are offset by the fiber found in whole fresh or frozen fruit. Because of the fiber, you digest the sugars in fruit more slowly. Tasty high-fiber fruits include raspberries, blackberries, and pears.
  • Vegetables: Add more Vegetables especially non-starchy vegetables like broccoli, salad greens, and peppers. When you do choose starchy vegetables, opt for those that are higher in fiber.
  • Whole grains: Whole grains are good for heart health, unlike processed grains that have been stripped of nutrients. Foods like whole-wheat bread, barley, and oats can help you avoid weight gain.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids: Omega-3 fatty acids can help increase good cholesterol and lower bad cholesterol. You’ll find them in seeds, nuts, and fatty fish like mackerel and salmon.

Using HCG Diet for Metabolic Syndrome

One of the risk factors of Metabolic Syndrome is being obese. HCG diet will help you lose weight and improve your condition.

HCG helps maintain the production of important hormones like progesterone and estrogen. HCG therapy keeps you from losing muscle while you diet. Below are some of the known benefits of the HCG Diet:

Sex Life
  • Fat Loss
  • Boost Metabolism
  • Reduced feelings of hunger
  • Increased Performance
  • Improved Sex Life
  • Supports Fertility

If you’ve ever tried to follow a strict diet to lose weight, build muscle, boost energy, or simply support graceful aging, you know that it’s difficult to get the results you need from food and supplements alone. This is where HCG comes in. HCG helps the body from losing muscle while you diet. By elevating hormone levels including testosterone, the HCG hormone creates an anabolic state which counteracts the catabolic state. There are hormone receptors on muscle fibers that respond to the increased hormone levels in patients taking the HCG hormone. This boosts your health and loses you weight.
