During the second phase of the HCG diet, you will start to eat 500 calories per day as a recommended meal plan of the HCG diet. The calorie cutdown ensures that you lose pounds and reach your weight loss goal. For the meal flow, start your day with a cup of coffee or tea for breakfast. Then, you will eat lunch and dinner at normal times. Both meals may be chosen from a list of specific foods that do not vary throughout the diet.

The Rules of the HCG Diet

  • Rules for phase 1 are to basically start taking hCG and eat plenty of high-fat, high-calorie foods for 2 days.
  • For phase 2, ensure to continue the daily HCG shots and eat only 500 calories per day for 3 to 6 weeks.
  • For phase 3 or the maintenance phase, stop taking HCG and gradually increase your food intake but avoid sugar and starch.
  • Drink two liters of water every day to boost hydration and increase your metabolic rate.
  • Weigh and remove the visible fats from the meat before cooking.
  • For women, skip the HCG during their menstrual period but continue the diet. Get back to your HCG shots as soon as your period ends.
  • You can eliminate anything that you are not hungry for.
  • Track your weight every day as soon as you get up from bed to see your progress.
  • Seek help if you will do a planned interruption period, avoid stopping the HCG shots abruptly as it affects your weight loss results.
  • If weight loss stalls for a few days in a row, an Apple Day can be done.
  • Do not mix vegetables at a meal and avoid eating multiple servings in one meal setting.
  • Avoid using cooking oils, fats, and salad creams. You also have to avoid oil-based cosmetics and beauty products during the second phase of the HCG diet.
