My weight was never an issue for me, I hate to admit it. During my fat days, I never wanted to do anything active besides watching TV, eating food, and hanging out with my friends. When I was bigger, I didn’t have high energy levels or an interest in sports, so I wasn’t troubled much by my size. Most of the weight loss was motivated by aesthetic reasons. I’ve always wanted to be skinny, but I lack the willpower to accomplish it. My body is not built to be skinny so I just accepted it the way it was. For a long time, I thought I would never be able to lose weight and that I was simply built to be curvy or big-boned. My parents started venting their worry about my health more often as I got bigger, but I thought they were just exaggerating and that I was average weight. Looking back now, I just can’t even fathom how I was so unaware of my size.
In college, I always had some diet plan or workout routine I said I would follow, but I never did. After trying to eat healthy for a day or two, I quickly slipped off the wagon. I had no self-control and had no idea how to lose weight or eat healthily. As soon as I realized I was fat, I started researching diets and weight loss in general. I found it so confusing and exhausting. It wasn’t clear to me whether carbohydrates were good or bad, whether fat made me fat or not, or whether artificial sweeteners would kill me, make me skinny or make me bigger. Through my research, I found some random sites that advertised a crazy weight-loss plan which is the HCG Diet. Most people will have heard of it by now, and it is pretty controversial, but it’s what got me on the road to a healthy weight. For those that don’t know, HCG is an extremely strict, very low-calorie diet combined with a hormone shot.
In almost 3 months, I lost 60 pounds. Losing that much weight that quickly was completely surreal and I fell off the wagon pretty fast once the rounds were finished. While losing weight, I felt like I could do anything. I realized that everything in my life was able to be changed. I changed careers, joined a gym, and started to do things that I enjoy. I felt confident and powerful, and my life was changing drastically in so many positive ways. Keeping motivated isn’t hard when everything in your life is positive. People were continuously complimenting me, my job got easier, and I was succeeding in a new sport that I loved. Everything in my life changed because of the HCG Diet. The obvious things, of course, are my energy levels, my clothing size, and my health. My self-esteem and confidence levels skyrocketed, and my willingness to take more risks and be more outgoing all changed for the better. Weight loss wins with HCG Diet!
