Gaining Confidence Through the HCG Diet Part 1

I lose 25 pounds on the HCG diet program!

I was skeptical at first because I do not have much weight to lose and, I am afraid I might get bored during the weight loss program. Luckily, the HCG diet is different from other weight-loss regimens. I mean, who would want to jump from one regimen to the other if the HCG diet is productive and safe.

I was doubting at first because I already have several experiences of dieting and I always end up frustrated. I usually fail at diets that only cause Yo-yo results. It is maybe because I cannot hold on too long cutting my calorie intake and end up being sick at the end of the day.  I always want a diet that does not require heavy workouts.

How did I gain weight?

I was comfortable with my 84 pounds weight before, I was healthy and active. But, at the surge of the pandemic last January 2020 like millions of people across the globe, I was also trapped working from home, binging on junk food and reruns, and having sleepless nights. These “Quaranthings” were overwhelming and a trap at the same time because I gained 20 pounds! So, from 84 pounds to 140 pounds real quick. Weight gain is killing my confidence over time.

How did I lose weight?

It was some time in November 2020, when my co-worker recommend the HCG diet. As I was saying, I was skeptical at first because during the quarantine period I also try Mr googles’ recommendation of weight-loss regimens. But, I end up gaining them back in the long run. But yeah, regardless of the doubt, I give HCG diet a try.

Starting the HCG Diet

I started with 2 days loading period because it was recommended to load as much as I want to prepare my body for the next stage. I remember eating lots of avocados, fatty fish, and I was also digging in with my favorite ice cream. During the gorging days, I also start to take my HCG Injections.

The Very Low-calorie Phase

On the third day of taking HCG injections, I started to follow the 500 calories per day program. It was intimidating at first because I thought I would end up being so hungry and tired due to extreme calorie cut down. What I learned about HCG is that it restricts you from eating too many calories in 23 days or 46 days. Along with the food restriction, was the daily injection of the hormone. The hormone taps your body’s metabolism allows you to burn unwanted fats to be used as a main source of energy.

Since I do not have much weight to lose, I choose the 23-days protocol of the HCH diet. My first week was memorable because I have had headaches and was a bit hungry. It is due to the shifting of my body’s metabolism but, it goes away as soon as the HCG spreads in the system.

By the end of the protocol, I lose 25 pounds but surprisingly it did not affect my muscle mass. The HCG only targets excess body fats and leave muscles behind. Aside from weight loss, the HCG also resets my eating pattern and changes my food choices.

I completed the HCG diet successfully and gained confidence. I am also planning for another round to achieve my summer fit body goals.
